About the Bredimus Family

The Bredimus family name can be traced back to Roman times and is one of the oldest family names in Western European history.

If you are a member of the Bredimus family, or related by blood or marriage, we invite you to browse this archive of the American Bredimus family. The scope of the articles is primarily devoted to the ancestors and offspring of one couple: Robert L. Bredimus (1909-1980) and Elsie J. McDonald (1917-1992). They were my parents and this site is lovingly dedicated to them.

If you are just a curious visitor, we hope you’ll find our family history of interest. I’m driven to make this collection although I’m unsure of who else cares about such things. At least I’m clearing out files and keeping the information in the cloud. The Bredimus.com domain is registered and likely to be kept for a long time.

Our father, Robert L. Bredimus, was born in the era of horse and buggy but I still remember him very well. In that sense I am bridging two very different worlds. For those only familiar with our modern world, this site will open your eyes to the lives lived long before ours.
