Bredimus Family Back East
After WW II my father and mother moved their young family from Iowa to a small town in New Jersey. It proved to be good decision, and a new generation became rooted in Oakland New Jersey. The Hansen family welcomed our clan and offered them a place to live near their Hansen House hospitality business while my father built us a new home at 31 Oak Street Oakland, NJ.
Sonya Hansen
Sonya was the eldest child of Hans and Dagny Hansen and recently passed away. To honor her memory, there is a tribute to Sonya Hansen Huhn at a new website dedicated to the history of Oakland NJ. Sonya had a special talent for writing short stories and she shared one gem shortly before her death. I hope you enjoy this small gesture of love from the Bredimus Family to the Hansen Family and dear Sonya. My sister, Cean, remains best friends with Evelyn Hansen, Sonya’s little sister and an honorary member of our Bredimus clan.
